A mum was in hysterics after she found a note penned by her crafty daughter about her birthday.
Despite only being a few days until her birthday, little Tiegan couldn’t wait a moment longer to see what presents she was getting.
So, she came up with a cunning plan to get her mum to spill the beans.
Acting as her dad, she penned a letter claiming to have “forgotten” what gifts they had bought for their “favourite daughter.”
The mum shared a picture of the note to the Facebook group Family Lockdown Tip & Ideas, where she said: “Finding this note a couple of days before your daughter’s birthday…” – and parents praised Tiegan’s creativity.
The note which originally read ‘Dear mum’ was crossed out and was replaced with the word ‘wife’.
The rest of the letter reads: “I have forgotten what we have got our favourite daughter Tiegan for her birthday so please write it here.
“From your husband, (definitely not Tiegan).”
Since being posted, it has racked up more than 13,000 likes and 500 comments from impressed readers who praised the little girl for her craftiness.
One person said: “Definitely not Teigan. That’s brilliant.”
Another commented: “Damn! That’s genius.”
“Seems legit,” wrote a third.
Whilst others gave the mum ideas on what to write back, as one person joked: “You should write ‘wait… it’s her birthday? When??'”
Another said: “I’d put something like coal.”
Whilst a third put: “Dear daughter (crossed out) husband, don’t you remember the family tradition that presents stop at (her upcoming age) we don’t have to bother anymore.
“From your wife xxx.”
