A woman found a mysterious ‘creepy’ bright light coming from the plughole of her hotel bathtub.
Sharing her strange find on Facebook, she wrote: “I’m in a hotel and I just noticed that the bath drain has a light coming from it. What could it be?”
Photographs show a bathtub plughole with a perplexing glowing light shining from underneath.
The light is a bright orange colour and reflects into the bathtub.
Many have been commenting, trying to guess what the light is, with one describing it as “creepy as f***.”
“That’s clearly a portal to hell,” one woman said.
However, not everyone seemed scared by the unknown light, as others tried to come up with sensible explanations.
One woman suggested: “Most hotels have a chase between the rooms where all the mechanical systems are exposed so they can be maintained.
“If the trap in the tub is plastic and the maintenance person left the light in the chase on, it will be visible in your room. That’s probably what’s happening here.”
This comes after the Mirror last month reported on a woman who shared the creepy apartment she found hidden behind her mirror.
Samantha Hartsoe shared the terrifying discovery in a four-part series on TikTok where she’s known as @samanthartsoe.
She explained that her New York City apartment is always cold no matter how high she turns up her heating.
“So I walk into the bathroom and I feel cold air blowing on me,” she said as she shows her hair moving slightly.
Confused as to where the draft was coming from, she began searching for any possible holes – only to notice that the air was coming from her mirror.
She added: “I realised the mirror moves, let me show you what I found.
“There’s a room back there.”
